The journey from the airport to the hotel is the start of this great adventure. As you get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it's your chance to immerse yourself in the vast, picturesque hills of Galicia. During this journey, let yourself be enchanted by the breathtaking views of the abundant vegetation.

When you reach Samos, an architectural and spiritual jewel stands out in the background: the Monastery of Samos.

Day 2

Samos - Sarria

From Samos to Sarria

On this second day, the route begins with a visit to the Monastery of Samos.

Nestled between lush hills and dense forests, this architectural masterpiece is a true oasis of tranquillity and spirituality.

Here you will have the opportunity to explore its chapels, library and well-kept gardens.

After visiting the Monastery of Samos, you'll continue your tour along country lanes, ancient roads and charming villages.

Along the way, pilgrims will have the opportunity to reflect and connect with nature.

Later, you will pass through the beautiful valley of the Sarria stream to the town of the same name.

Sarria is the starting point of the pilgrimage for many Spaniards. From here it's over 100 kilometers to Santiago, enough to receive the coveted pilgrim's certificate.

Day 3

Sarria - Portomarín

From Sarria to Portomarín

Starting in the historic city of Sarria, you will continue your journey to Portomarín.

Along the way you will pass picturesque trails, country roads with old chestnut and oak trees, green fields and charming villages.

Located on the banks of the Miño River, one of the most important rivers in Galicia, the small town of Portomarín has an unparalleled wealth of architecture, history and culture. This place is an essential stop on the route to Santiago de Compostela.

An interesting fact about this place is that in 1962, the small town of Portomarín disappeared completely underwater after the construction of a dam in the Minho region.

Fortunately, the most important buildings were demolished brick by brick and rebuilt a few hundred meters away.

The sense of achievement when you reach Portomarín is wonderful, it's a celebration of the determination and resilience of this journey.

Portomarín - Palas de Rei

From Portomarín to Palas de Rei

The route from Portmarín to Palas de Rei is a special chapter in the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.

As you progress along the route, you'll climb through the forest to the peak of a mountain where you'll see the wide valley of the Minho region. Let yourself be enchanted by the breathtaking landscapes.

On the way to Palas de Rei, you will pass many hórreos; these granaries on stilts are typical of this part of Galicia.

When you arrive in the picturesque village of Palas de Rei, you will be greeted by the warm and hospitable atmosphere of this place.

Characterized by its charming stone houses and narrow streets, Palas de Rei is a must-see on the road to Compostela.

Day 5

Palas de Rei - Arzúa

From Palas de Rei to Arzúa

The pedestrian route from Palas de Rei to Arzúa is a challenging and exciting stage for pilgrims.

As the route begins, you'll follow country roads surrounded by beautiful Galician landscapes. You'll also pass through pretty farming villages where time seems to stand still.

In Leboreiro you'll walk along the calzado, a carefully paved medieval road.

Through rolling farmland you'll reach Melide, characterized by its picturesque center with traditional buildings and local stores. Here, you can enjoy a tasty lunch, the specialty of which is octopus, in one of the many pulperías.

Arzúa - Arca

From Arzúa to Arca

Walking from Arzúa to Arca is a magical stage in the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.

As you make your way along the route, you will be dazzled by the enchanting landscapes, characterized by small stream valleys, eucalyptus forests and farming villages.

The tranquillity of the path will allow you to enjoy a moment of calm and serenity while connecting with nature.

When you arrive at the Ark, you will be greeted by a harmonious and peaceful atmosphere.

The small town of Arca is an essential point on the pilgrimage journey and is known for being a meeting point between the French Way and the Northern Way.

Here you'll find various restaurants and places where you can recover before continuing your journey to Santiago de Compostela.

Santiago de Compostela

Santiago de Compostela

The last route passes through Lavacolla in the direction of Santiago de Compostela.

In Lavacolla, you will have the opportunity to bathe in the stream before entering the holy city.

From Mount Gozo you will eventually descend to this holy city.

When you see the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, despite the fatigue of the journey, the joy that radiates from your heart is tremendous. The emotion grows with every step and the cathedral square opens up like an oasis of tranquillity and spirituality.

Arriving in Santiago de Compostela is the fulfillment of a dream and the continuation of your inner journey.
