Day 1

Arrival in Ponta Delgada!

Transfer from the airport to the 4* hotel in the center of Ponta Delgada

Upon landing at Ponta Delgada Airport you will be met by our experienced driver who will take you safely to your hotel.

As you drive along the winding roads, you can admire the beautiful natural landscapes of the Azores.

Day 2

Walking Tour in Ponta Delgada

Getting to know the capital of the Azores, Ponta Delgada, on foot will be a fantastic experience that will take you through the charming and historic streets of this beautiful city.

The city tour will start on the main avenue of the Graça Market. Built in 1848, this typical Azorean market is famous for its regional products, from pineapples to cheese.

Next, you'll head into the heart of the city, where our expert tour will explain the history of the main monuments. You can see the Mother Church of São Sebastião, the Statue of the Navigator Gonçalo Velho Cabral and the city's historic gates.

As you stroll through the streets, take the opportunity to appreciate the colonial art visible in the traditional Azorean houses.

During the walking tour of the city, you will stop to rest.

After this brief stop, the tour continues towards Campo de São Francisco.

Considered one of Ponta Delgada's most emblematic green spaces, this place is an important historical landmark for the city.

It houses monuments such as the Church of São José, the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Esperança, the Fort of São Brás and the Statue of the Emigrant.

It is also here that the second largest religious festival in the country takes place, the Santo Cristo dos Milagres.

Day 3

Furnas

Visit to Furnas

On this third day you will have the opportunity to visit one of the best-known places in the Azores, Furnas, in São Miguel.

This fantastic tour will start at our meeting point where you will head towards the capital of São Miguel Island, Vila Franca do Campo.

This small town is a scenic little treasure, characterized by its picturesque streets, colourful houses and historic buildings.

Here, you'll have the chance to taste the traditional queijadas and indulge in these tasty delicacies.

Later, the tour will continue to Terra Nostra Park. Known as an oasis of natural beauty and tranquillity, this place offers all its visitors an unforgettable experience in nature.

Here, you will have the opportunity to relax in the thermal waters of this space, which have numerous healing effects.

Later, you will head to the boiler area of Lagoa das Furnas, where you will witness the removal of the furnas stew from the ground.

After this unique experience in Furnas, you will stop to enjoy a delicious lunch in a typical Azorean restaurant.

After this unforgettable gastronomic experience, the tour will continue through the center of the parish.

This is where you'll find one of the Azores' main tourist attractions, the fumaroles. Here you can taste the famous Azorean carbonated mineral water, called Água Azeda das Furnas.

After this visit to Furnas, you will return to Ponta Delgada via the North Coast, passing by the Pico do Ferro viewpoint.

From this viewpoint you will have a privileged view of the Furnas Valley volcanic crater and the Furnas Lagoon.

On the way back, you'll pass the Gorreana Tea Factory. Founded in 1883, this Azorean tea factory preserves the centuries-old heritage of tea production.

In this beautiful place, you'll learn about the history of this estate and the process of making tea. You'll also have the chance to taste some of these wonderful teas.

After this day well spent in the furnas, it's time to return safely and comfortably to your hotel in Ponta Delgada.

Day 4

Sete Cidades & Lagoa do Fogo

Visit to Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Fogo

Visiting the parish of Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Fogo will be an extraordinary experience that you will never forget.

This fantastic tour will start with a visit to a pineapple plantation. Here, you'll walk through the colorful fields full of pineapples, where you'll learn about the history of this place.

You'll also have the chance to taste the liqueur extracted from these delicious fruits.

Later, you'll head towards the Pico do Carvão viewpoint, where you'll have access to a breathtaking view of the Azores.

From here, you can see the central part of the island and the north and south coasts of São Miguel.

After seeing these magnificent landscapes, you will continue on to the parish of Sete Cidades. Here you will make a brief stop near the shore of the Sete Cidades Lagoon.

When you arrive at the Lagoon, you will be enchanted by the natural beauty of this area.

Formed by two volcanic craters, one green and the other blue, this lagoon is one of the island's main tourist attractions. Enjoy your Blue Lagoon!

After this, you will climb up to the Vista do Rei viewpoint, where you will have a privileged view of the Santiago Lagoon and the Sete Cidades Lagoon.

After enjoying this unique moment in nature, you'll have a tasty lunch in a local restaurant. There you can sample some typical Azorean delicacies.

The tour will then continue towards Pico da Barrosa. Considered one of São Miguel's most incredible viewpoints, this place offers breathtaking panoramic views.

Here, you will also stop at the Lagoa do Fogo viewpoint, where you will enjoy the graceful natural scenery.

Day 5

From Ponta Delgada to Terceira

As the vehicle drives through the streets of Ponta Delgada for the last time, it's impossible not to remember all the magical moments you experienced during your stay.

When you arrive at the airport, it's time to say goodbye to this wonderful place and embark on a new experience towards Terceira Island.

Upon landing in Terceira, considered the "best-kept secret in the Atlantic" by the newspaper El Mundo, the second part of his adventure in the Azores will begin.

West of Terceira Island

This will be a didactic and interesting visit, where you will learn how volcanoes have shaped the landscape and the way of life of the people of this island.

You'll start by climbing Mount Brasil, formed by an underwater volcanic eruption that emerged from the depths of the sea.

Here you'll get a glimpse of the island's magnificent history, which is certainly present in every corner of the island.

After visiting Monte Brasil, you'll head to the north of the island, arriving at the lava fields that the locals have shaped to grow vines.

Take the opportunity to appreciate this unique method of cultivation, which gives the wines produced in this region a distinct personality.

You will then head to the parish of Biscoitos, where you will enjoy a unique bathing experience in a natural pool. Here you will also enjoy a tasty lunch. Let yourself be enchanted by the rich flavors of Azorean cuisine!

After lunch in Biscoitos, you will take a walk along the basalt walls that protect the vineyards. This experience culminates with a didactic visit to the Wine Museum.

You will then head to Angra do Heroísmo, traveling inland to explore the fantastic Furna de Enxofre and the fascinating Algar do Carvão.

Furna de Enxofre is considered one of the island's most fantastic natural wonders. When you enter this cave, you will be greeted by an atmosphere of mystery, where you will be able to contemplate the stunning rock formations.

You will also get to know Algar do Carvão, a natural volcanic cavity that captivates visitors from all over the world.
